ISTQB® Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL)

The Foundation qualification is aimed at anyone involved in software testing. The Advanced Certificates are for experienced testing practitioners and aimed to demonstrate a depth of knowledge of testing topics and the ability to perform testing activities in practice. The Advanced level is split into 3 main tracks as Core, Agile and Specialist.

ISTQB® Certified Tester, Expert Level (CTEL)

The Expert Level extends the knowledge and experience obtained at the Advanced Level by providing in-depth, practically-oriented certifications in a range of different testing subjects. With Expert Level, ISTQB® offers career paths for testers with clearly defined business outcomes. The Expert level currently consists of Core track modules only.

The foundation level is the entry module to the ISTQB® certification.
